A Remarkable Turn, as Journalists Call Out Christian Nationalism

Journalists tag-teamed these last few days to call out Christian nationalism. Halleluiah. It is remarkable because the news media’s ability to publish information without fear of censorship has been significantly cut back. So, in the hearts and minds of those who reject and fear Christian nationalism, the recent coverage by CNN, Popular Information, and MSNBC was refreshing.

Unless you are draped in a flag and carrying an AK47, Christian nationalism is taboo, touchy. In the supremacy circles, they really don’t want to talk about it; they want to just keep the regime change chugging along. Organizations and people who are against it have to deal with fear and worry about tax exemption laws.

Hoping that media’s ability to call out Christian nationalism survives

An interview by CNN’s Pamela Brown triggered the welcome burst of coverage. She spoke candidly with Christian nationalist kingpin Doug Wilson in this short but telling video, the same video promoted by Pete Hegseth. Wilson and followers see women as subservient and not voting, slavery as justified, homosexuality as a crime, etcetera.

Notwithstanding MSNBC’s blind allegiance to the Democratic party, it draws a mass audience. Katy Tur’s vignette put Doug Wilson and his protégé Hegseth in truthful clear context. As a counterpoint, Tur gave time to Trump schmoozer David Drucker, who offered up his version of the denial-deflection points. They deny Project 2025 and the Christian nationalism threat. People of this stance were not long ago saying there is no such thing as Christian nationalism. Maybe he didn’t hear that Christian nationalism has shot opposing politicians. Beware of talking points like these:

  • it’s fringe and interesting but to be expected;
  • a new ‘religious liberty’ to be downplayed;
  • maybe be concerned and might need control, but it’s not powerful;
  • innocuous build up of the GOP, large part of the coalition;
  • not to worry; it’s not intruding on public policy;
  • White House direct involvement/access is incidental.

The above photo came out again in context of the recent reporting. It is one of several similar staged photographs of the laying on of hands. As Dr. Matthew Taylor points out, it is always the same group of ‘evangelicals’. Taylor’s analysis shows they are a recently formed and distinct type of evangelists that have taken control. They are the Christian supremacy force that drives Christian nationalism. They are essentially the carpetbaggers of Christendom. And, Christian nationalism is the tip of the spear turning back social progress.

Call out Christian nationalism because of its ties to colonialism

Project 2025 aims to expand US imperialist colonialism domestically and around the globe. The domestic portion is where Wilson’s town of Moscow, Utah, comes in. It serves as a model Christian town for a coming Christian nation. So, they advocate for military-oriented colonialism targeting the homeland. Defense Secretary Hegseth owes his position to Wilson. Alarmingly, coordinated instances of USA colonialization, to accelerate the rollout of Christian nationalism/supremacy, have started.

call out Christian nationalism by rejecting Doug Wilson

Wilson intimates that there is little going on in the Idaho Panhandle that he doesn’t influence or know about. However, tourist literature doesn’t feature him. The community has suffered a rash of high profile crimes, such as university slayings and forest fire snipers.

Let more Christians and brave patriots be heard

Maybe we got a burst of Christian nationalism news coverage because the regime is distracted. After all, they are busy marshalling the American military to ‘take the streets’ of the nation’s capital. It’s all part of the same plan.

The ‘bad guys’ know the fight for Christianity and democracy is far from over. It can be difficult, even dangerous, to call out Christian nationalism – but that’s about the least anyone can do who says they are against it.
