If you can see Judeo-Christian religious fascism in your neighborhood, you might appreciate just how insidious it is. The substance of the US-Israel right-wing efforts is frightening. The examples are offered with love for Judaism and the people. To the observer, these actions are not religious in their underpinnings or objectives – they are patently political activities serving the state of Israel. They are the complement to Christian nationalism, together forming Judeo-Christian religious fascism. Together, they perpetrate movements that extract a heavy toll on freedom and quality of life for all Americans. Local College Meddling

Israel has long been directly involved in American college development and administration, with an emphasis on helping students from Israel. That’s well and good, but like most things Israeli, it has changed over time, mostly for money and settler colonialism.

Early on in the current Gaza conflict, when Israel’s horrific intent became clear, students at local colleges came out in protest. Their voices and spirits were effectively crushed, with little news coverage. While a few still stand, most are scared and shock-trained not to speak up. Now, in context of untoward control of American colleges, Israel openly encroaches on basic American freedoms and rights.

In April 2025, hundreds of colleges signed a formal letter against “unprecedented government overreach and political interference”.  It is notable which local colleges did not sign.

Per ‘On Tyranny’, iron-clad tyranny calls for silencing students. Silencing students and undermining law are the prescribed steps to undermine (or not have) elections.

Zionist Defense of Christian Nationalism

In early 2024, a self-described “ardent” Zionist came to a local conference put on by Women Confronting Racism. The session was titled ‘White Christian Nationalism: Politics Masquerading as Religion’.  The Zionist was there in proactive defense of Christian nationalism.

Death by Zionist Assist

Metro Detroit’s well-known child holocaust survivor, a distinguished speaker at the local holocaust center, was removed from the speaking schedule over his opposition to Gaza war crimes. The brave man grew ill and was abandoned at the behest of the Zionist community.

Making War on the Peace Group

The Huntington Woods Peace Group has been established for many years. The Peace Group is all some people know of Huntington Woods. The Peace Group is substantially progressive Jewish, and they have been under organized attack by Zionists. The Zionists go to the authorities and push for the Peace Group to be shut down, saying rules are needed to prevent the group from having use of public facilities. The Zionists consistently call the Peace Group unfair and hateful. This is a fabrication that flies in the face of history and the speakers at the April 22^nd town meeting. The Zionists say history doesn’t matter because these are different times, and the calls for peace in Gaza is hateful to them.

Conclusions

There is a thread of unreligious self-righteous hatred through the local examples, the kind that claims antisemitism but actually grows it. Pray for the perpetrators. And pray for the resistors, those berated as not being ‘Jewish enough’. Israel, not the Jewish religion or faithful people, has sacrificed its credibility.

Like many of the Netanyahu-Trump tyrannical actions, the local examples are in the open if you choose to see them. These are not big roaring fascist fires like Gaza, but they are related. Plus, they are persistent, evidential glowing embers.

Just as it is with the bosses, these neighborhood efforts will keep taking away freedoms until they are made to stop.

At any convenience, religious principles and truth are simply cast aside. The fascist forces are building power to say and do what ever they want. Todays headlines included pro-Israel assaults on the streets of New York, and arrests of Palestinian students after those students received a bomb threat.

Current leaders of the USA and Israel wrongly merge religion and government, which gives a twisted sense of nationalism among many people. Leaders hide behind (indeed, use) religion as a tool to spin up nationalism for the leaders’ personal power and monetary gain. Think Trump and Netanyahu, and before that, Biden and Netanyahu. Nationalism is the easy starting point that bonds with militarism and authoritarianism to constitute fascism, which is where we are. Religion is at once a victim and a purveyor of this fascism.

Do not doubt that the fascists cannot or will not come for your neighbor or you.

Tonight, soldiers were deployed for police work along the southern border, another step into the use of the military against the people. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is an extremist, one who subscribes to dominionism and the New Apostolic Reformation, the dark corners of Christian nationalism. Hegseth has expressed his willingness to use force alongside a commitment to theocracy. Trump won’t fire him. Hegseth will take the call when the fight with the people gets into the streets.

We need authentic faith and vibrant democracy, not Judeo-Christian fascism.
