More and more, the world sees the Palestinian fight for what it is: love of humanity versus imperialist hatred. Good versus evil. This was a conclusion on the eve of October 7th, when Detroit organizational representatives met at Moratorium NOW! These organizations are the moral high ground.

Palestinians are suffering and dying every second, yet the horrific stories are not new. The conflicts started before WWII. However, since the establishment of the state of Israel, Zionist aggression has steadily grown to full-on genocide. Zionism is not Judaism; it foments antisemitism; it is a key enabler of fascism, central to religious fascism (a.k.a. Christian nationalism).

The world stepped back from imperialistic settler colonialism after WWII, but not the USA. Among the genocides/mass killings that the USA has architected, Gaza is most telling, because it synchronous with the USA’s open embrace of fascism, as supported by Zionism. There is a direct line between the happenings in Palestine and the open fascist assaults shaping up in USA cities.

The USA’s imperial interests are similarly served by Biden, Harris, and Trump; such is the USA establishment. They provide privilege for the monied chosen at the cost of death and destruction for the masses. This is why they crush unions and run from economic populism. This is how they can unthinkingly malign and vilify entire groups of people, or simply ignore them.

Organizations and discussion

• The Palestine Youth Movement showed their passion and gave a good accounting of status, atrocities, and history of the Palestinian fight.
• The Jewish Voice for Peace and the Coalition Against Genocide demanded the liberation of Palestine. It was discussed that Palestinians have made sacrifices, faced their enemy, and made gains. “Never again, anywhere, for anybody”.
• The recent Italian walkout of 2M workers was called out, and confident people voiced the need and intent to do the same here. General Strike USA indicates that, so far, 380K workers have signed up.
• Anti-fascism in the homeland must contend with the fascist administration’s work to normalize both troops in the streets, and a violent mindset being cultivated amongst those troops.
• The Detroit Anti-War Committee calls for the end of all contracts, aid, and investments that benefit Israel. Detroit’s Zionist king was named.
• While Israeli atrocities alienate the world and calls for their expulsion are rising, Michigan is actively welcoming dark new Israeli start-up ventures. This is exactly what Michigan/USA should NOT be doing, according to according to the local Engineers Against Apartheid. Ask Whitmer why she is financing Israel surveillance AI with Michigan tax dollars, through the Michigan Israeli Business Accelerator.
• In New England, there has been an up-tick in the illegal Israeli sale of stolen Palestinian West Bank land. Zionists have violently defended the activity with Trump-Kushner protection, which has many bad consequences. When in New York, Netanyahu stays at the home of Charles Kushner, father of Jared.

World pariahs cannot/will not change of their own accord, even as they dismantle their countries

It is like a pencil with the eraser worn off, but US-Israel keeps scratching away because, as the cabal sees it, there is still power and money on the table. It doesn’t matter if it has no chance of working or lives are being taken. Certainly, Palestinians will not give up or go away. If they manage to come for your home, will you?

How far will imperialistic fascism go against the people of Palestine? The answer is the same as how far it will go against the people in streets of the USA. It is the same evil energy. If there has to be trouble, let it be in our time.
